It’s been awhile since I posted anything – I’ve been staying off the computer as much as possible recently (well, considering my day job involves computers), due to arthritis in my hands, which my doctor thinks could be the early stages of Rheumatoid Arthritis. That’s not really the thing you want to hear when you’re still in the “aspiring” writer stage, but oh well, life happens. Now that I’m getting the pain under control and hopefully averting the severe deformities that might happen later in life, I’m trying to get back into my writing mode.
What I need are goals! I need to give myself a deadline and meet that, so my first goal is that I’m going to try to write a short story every 2 months. That’s just for the writing part – the critiquing and re-working may take longer, but at least I will have finished the story.
So, on the immediate list to get done, along with the due dates I’ve set for myself:
1) Deathknot 90% complete - finish by 7/31.
2) My untitled steampunk story – Finished by 8/31.
3) Brokenworld 50% complete – Finished by 10/31.
Now, time to get to work!
