Why the Blog?
I have a single, driving passion: to become one of the best writers in my craft. I’m a writer of speculative fiction, I’m a slush reader for Fantasy Magazine and I’m also a member of Critters.
I’m not the kind of writer who can just sit down and hammer out a short story without some formal preparation. I need research, outlines, time-lines and goals to achieve. I need to study the craft and its masters. Which is why the blog – it allows me to chronicle my personal progress, to inform other aspiring writers, to discuss craft mechanics, to keep current on genre/market trends, to study the authors and works that inspire me and to throw back the curtain and reveal my process – which will ultimately lead to my success. If you’re interested in a writing perspective that’s accessible, honest, critical and informative, then you’re in the right place.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Blogroll me, facebook me, twit me, rss me, bookmark me or whatever. And if you have technical problems, contact me.
